Surprise Small Business Relief Grant Deadline Extended to October 30
Surprise, AZ (October 15, 2020) The deadline for eligible Surprise small businesses to apply for the Surprise Small Business Relief Grant has been extended from October 16th to October 30th. Funds are still available for emergency financial relief, and all eligible Surprise businesses are encouraged to apply.
The Surprise Small Business Relief Grant was approved by the Surprise City Council on September 1, 2020 to support local small businesses experiencing economic distress and loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic and closures compliant with Governor Doug Ducey’s Executive Orders.
The grant offers funds in the amounts of $1,500 (Category 1), $2,500 (Category 2), $5,000 (Category 3), $7,500 (Category 4) and $10,000 (Category 5) with the intent to support for-profit small businesses with commercial space to maintain operations and associated jobs in the City of Surprise by assisting with rent, utilities, payroll expenses and other necessary operating costs.
The Arizona Community Foundation is administering the Surprise Small Business Relief Grant program. Applicants must create an account with the Arizona Community Foundation as a part of the application process.
