Fines & Restitution

IMPORTANT NOTICE: A.R.S. 28-645A3A – Red Light Violation or A.R.S. 28-647.1 – Flashing Red Stop Signal
Persons found responsible, or entering a plea of responsible, will be ordered by the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) to attend and successfully complete Traffic Survival School (TSS). If you are eligible for defensive driving school and complete the class, the violation will be dismissed and you will not be subject to the requirement to attend a TSS class by the MVD.
The information below will assist you with calculating and paying the amount due for your civil traffic and/or criminal violations. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the Court.
Paying Your Fines

You have an obligation to pay your fines on the date of sentencing, once you have…
  • entered a plea
  • have been found guilty or responsible of a violation
You must make full payment for all fines/sanctions imposed, when you…
  • plead "Guilty" or "No Contest" to criminal violations
  • plead "Responsible" for civil traffic violations
If you are financially unable to meet your court ordered obligation on the day of sentencing, you may request a payment plan. This can only be considered once you have completed the detailed financial application and make a required down payment.
