The Surprise Police Department will be hosting a Shred-a-Thon and Drug Take Back Event, located at 14250 West Statler Plaza.
During the event, members of the public will be able to bring up to five boxes of documents per vehicle to be shredded. Additionally, unused prescription and over-the-counter medications can be brought and dropped off for destruction. There is no cost for the shredding of documents or destruction of medications.
Please note, we are unable to accept sharps (to include insulin syringes/needles) or inhalers of any kind.

The Surprise Fire-Medical Department is holding a series of open houses at city fire stations. Residents can come out and meet the firefighters, check out the living and eating quarters, walk through the bays and see the fire trucks! Attendees will also get a look at the medical equipment, firefighting gear and tools used on emergency calls.
