    The Surprise Fire-Medical Department is offering free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training for residents. CERT is a FEMA program that educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as: fire safety, lights search and rescue, disaster medical operations and team organization.
