Mayor's Exhibit: A Tribute to our Heroes

September 3-November 11 • Tue.-Fri.: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Sat.: 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Opening Reception September 3, 5-7 p.m.

West Valley Arts Council in partnership with The Vista Center for the Arts and Ground Floor Artists is proud to announce Surprise's inaugural Mayor’s Exhibit. The exhibit, A Tribute To Our Heroes, marks the 20th anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11 and aims to reflect on how the heroes of this day have shaped, and continue to shape, our nation into one of support, togetherness and collective endurance.




City Hall Art Exhibition - “Out of the West” Featured Artist: Sun Bauer

October 4-January 7 • Mon.-Fri.: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Surprise City Hall: 16000 N. Civic Center Plz.


The Surprise Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission selects rotating art exhibitions and some permanent pieces of the city’s art collection for display in the first floor lobby and hallway of Surprise City Hall. Enjoy paintings and sculptures by area artists during regular business hours, excluding holidays.


Poetry Slam at WHAM

October 15 • 6-8 p.m.

WHAM Community Art Center: 16560 N. Dysart Rd.


This event features open mic night for poetry, free verse and storytelling! All are welcome to participate as performers and/or listeners. Any established or original pieces may be read. This is a free event and open to the public! No registration needed.
