As the City of Surprise continues to open, our Special Events calendar is starting to fill up! The Parks & Recreation Department is offering three events for you and your family to enjoy in April and May!
*NEW* Surprise Swims Safe - April 30, 5 p.m. This is a new family event promoting year-round water safety! With our pools opening on May 22, we want to ensure that your family receives the best water safety tips and information so you and your loved ones can have safe water fun this summer! The cost to attend is $2 for residents and $5 for non-residents. This is an entry fee event therefore each person is required to have a ticket to attend.
*NEW* Drive-in Movie “Moana” - May 1, 7 p.m. Come join us at Mark Coronado Park for a special viewing of Disney’s “Moana” presented by Coulter Nissan! This is a free family event; however, registration is required for each vehicle entrance. You may register at surpriserec.surpriseaz.gov under the special events tab and select ‘Movie in the Park’. Attendees will be able to watch the movie from the comfort of their own vehicle! Just tune your radio to the supplied local FM radio for sound, enjoy the fresh air, relax, and enjoy the movie! Concessions will not be available, so feel free to bring your own snacks! The movie will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Itty Bitty Beach Party - May 28, morning & evening sessions Mark your calendars! We are excited to welcome back the Itty Bitty Beach Party on May 28! Held at the Surprise Aquatics Center, this party offers guests games, prizes, crafts, and more, for children ages 10 years and younger! Enjoy the slides, cool off in the water, and hang out with our resident mermaid! The cost to come party is $5 for residents and $10 for non-residents. This is an entry fee event therefore each person is required to have a ticket to attend. We offer both a morning and an evening session – so, pick the one that works best for you and your family!
Event registrations are accepted in-person at the Surprise Parks & Recreation office, 15960 N Bullard Ave, online and over the phone.
