Registration for Summer Youth Sports now open


The City of Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is now registering for Summer Youth Sports!

Participants can choose from a wide variety of leagues, camps and classes including cheerleading, football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, tennis, and softball!

Youth Basketball League: Recreational league for children ages 4-17. The summer season starts in early June and runs until late July. Games are played on Saturdays and/or weeknights. Practice times are up to the volunteer coach, usually 1-hour once a week (5:20p, 6:30p or 7:40p). Age determined on or before July 31. For league details visit

Tennis Programs: Did you know that the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex offers tennis lessons for all ages and levels? Monthly and drop-in clinics too! The ball machine and backboards are now available to rent. Visit or call us at 623.222.2400 for more information about programs or to rent a court!

Esports Tournaments: Surprise Esports Tournaments features games like Among Us, Fortnite, Rocket League, and others! Users need to provide their own gaming console or PC, and copy of the game. Check out for our latest tournament information.

Space is limited in each sports program; early registration is encouraged!

With daily reassessments in relation to the COVID-19 situation; rules, procedures and general guidance are subject to change. Participants are to adhere to guidelines set forth by the CDC.
