Summer Break Camp registration opens for Surprise residents

The City of Surprise is excited to offer Summer Break Camp for youth in first through fourth grades at Countryside Recreation Center,15038 N. Parkview Place; and Sierra Montana Recreation Center, 14861 N. Spring Lane, for participants in fifth through eighth grades.  

This is a fun-filled camp that includes afternoon snack, daily activities, arts and crafts, games, sports and field trips. Field trips may include, but are not limited to, bowling, laser tag, water park, movies, pools, Amazing Jakes and much more! 

Summer Break Camp 2021 will be held May 24 through July 30, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. 

Registration is now open for Surprise residents and begins April 19 for non-residents. Space is limited for each location and will fill quickly, so please register early to ensure a space!

Interested families must complete the online registration packet, available at surpriseaz.gov/recreation (under “Break Camps”), and schedule an appointment to drop it off by calling 623.222.2000. Appointments will be held at the Surprise Parks & Recreation Office, 15960 N. Bullard Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-in registration will begin on Monday, April 12.

The weekly rate is $125 per week for residents and $145 per week for non-residents. Field trips are included in the registration fee.

Due to COVID-19, registrations for full week campers only will be accepted at this time. With ongoing reassessments in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, rules, procedures and general guidance are subject to change.
