Lives of Arizonans from Memoirs and Fiction (Speaker: Jim Turner)

June 8, 11 a.m. – Noon
The 1894 Lowell Expedition to Arizona (Speaker: Kevin Schindler)

This presentation tells the story of an Easterner named Andrew Douglass who explored Arizona Territory in 1894 in search of an ideal site to establish an astronomical observatory for Bostonian Percival Lowell. Traveling by train and stagecoach, he visited Tombstone, Tucson, Tempe, Prescott and Flagstaff. This expedition is a classic tale of western adventure with a twist of scientific intrigue.

The event is free. Registration is required. To register, visit: Webinar Registration - Zoom
