Surprise Community & Dick McComb Dog Parks to be temporarily closed for maintenance

The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department will be temporarily closing the dog parks at both Surprise Community Park and Dick McComb Park to apply a bi-annual weed control herbicide that prevents weeds from germinating.

 The first application of 2021 will be applied at Surprise Community Dog Park on Wednesday, February 17; treatment at the Dick McComb Dog Park will be applied on Thursday, February 18. 

The dog parks will remain closed the entire day and reopened the following morning. View the schedule below:

  • Wednesday, February 17: Surprise Community Dog Park closed at 6 a.m., re-opens on Thursday, February 18 at 6 a.m.
  • Thursday, February 18: Dick McComb Dog Park closed at 6 a.m., re-opens on Friday, February 19 at 6 a.m.
