Surprise to offer online Esports tournaments this fall

Surprise Parks & Recreation Department and Bravous Esports are teaming up to offer four online video game tournaments this fall!

Esports is a form of sport event where multiplayer video games are played competitively in elimination-style tournaments. 

Gamers participating in the city’s fall tournaments will play from the comfort of their own homes. Participants must provide their own gaming system and game.

Fall tournament schedules are:

  • Rocket League (7-16yr) - August 28, 5-9 p.m.
  • Fortnite (7-16yr) - September 19, 5-9 p.m.
  • Madden 20 (7yrs+) - October 9, 6-9 p.m.
  • Super Smash Bros. (7-16yr) - November 14, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The registration fee for each tournament is $10 for Surprise residents, and $12 for non-residents. 

Sign up for your tournament now at . An online parent orientation will be held at 6 p.m. on August 26, for participating players.

Bravous Esports offers youth Esports leagues, compelling STEM after-school programs, unique drop-in competitive events, and solutions for cities, schools, and non-profits to offer recreational Esports to their communities.
