The voter-approved Waddell Road Improvement Project has been completed, with all major traffic restrictions now lifted.
The north and south half of Waddell Road from the east limit of Loop 303 to Reems Road have been built out, and a traffic signal has been added at the intersection of Sarival Avenue and Waddell Road.
The project constructed four additional travel lanes in the area (except Reems to Sarival which required three additional travel lanes) for a total of six travel lanes, adding traffic capacity and eliminating areas where multiple lanes merged into single lanes. The project also included sidewalks, bicycle lanes, street lighting, landscaping, and turn lanes.
Residents can still expect temporary and minor traffic control over the next couple of weeks as the city works to complete finishing touches along the roadway.
The Waddell Road Improvement Project was voter-approved through the 2017 General Obligation (G.O.) Bond which funded 10 Capital Improvement Projects.
