Bell & Litchfield intersection improvement project will require lane restrictions beg. May 11

Bell Rd sign web

Work to improve the intersection of Bell and Litchfield roads will require lane restrictions on both eastbound and westbound Bell Road, Litchfield Road to West Point Parkway, beginning Monday, May 11.

The intersection improvement project will lengthen the left turn bay for westbound Bell Road onto southbound Litchfield Road and improve the safety at the intersection.

Construction activities include removing landscaping and a light pole in the median just east of the intersection in order to create the larger turn bay.

The left turn movement from eastbound Bell Road to northbound Litchfield Road will be restricted from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19. Motorists can use Bell Road to Grand Avenue as an alternate.

Work will occur throughout the week and overnight as required. Motorists can expect 24-hour lane restrictions during the project.

The project is scheduled to be complete early June, weather permitting.
