_Economic-Development

Surprise launched today a webpage dedicated to connecting consumers, businesses and job seekers with tips, resources and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city’s Economic Development department created the COVID-19 Business and Workforce Resources webpage to provide a comprehensive, one-stop location for residents and businesses to receive information.

Resources available on the page include:

  • Recommendations for how consumers can continue to support local business
  • A list of restaurants in Surprise providing takeout and delivery services
  • Links to agencies supporting businesses such as the Small Business Association and Arizona Commerce Authority
  • FAQs for businesses
  • Workforce solutions and links for job seekers

Effective immediately and through the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2020, the Surprise Economic Development department is also implementing a COVID-19 100-Day Business and Workforce Recovery Plan to help triage business challenges, facilitate business and consumer connectedness, and identify immediate, short-term and long-term community workforce development solutions.

Information about the 100-Day Business and Workforce Recovery Plan is available on the COVID-19 Businesses and Workforce Resources webpage.

Surprise Economic Development will continue to update the webpage as more resources are made available.

Residents and businesses can sign up to receive notification emails when the page is updated by subscribing to Economic Development Updates.
