AZ TechCelerator welcomes award-winning medical training startup, ReSuture

Medical professionals nationwide are now able to practice specialized vascular surgical training outside of the operating room thanks to the revolutionary product created by the AZ TechCelerator’s newest tenant, ReSuture.

Founded by Hannah Eherenfeldt and Benjamin Knapp in 2018, ReSuture develops simulations for a carotid endarterectomy (common vascular surgery procedure) using compact, portable systems that provide open surgical training. The portable training device features an accurate synthetic material that mimics human tissue and simulated blood flow.

ReSuture incorporated in April 2019 after winning a technology competition and securing their first seed funding.

As a tenant of the AZ TechCelerator, ReSuture will benefit from the business incubator’s entrepreneurial mentorship programs, collaborative workspaces, technological resources and more!
