City hosts Veterans Day Parade, pancake breakfast & Veterans Reflection Circle dedication on Nov 11

Veterans Day Parade

Join us in honoring our service men and women on Veterans Day, November 11. 

The morning kicks off with breakfast, catered by Puffy Taco Food Truck, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at Surprise Stadium in the centerfield plaza and will feature pancakes, choice of sausage or bacon, and breakfast refreshments. Tickets for the breakfast will be sold the day of for $5 per plate.

A dedication ceremony for the Veterans Reflection Circle, an outdoor garden and reflection space in honor of late Surprise resident and combat wounded veteran Brian Mancini, will be held at 8 a.m. at the Surprise Community Park, outside the north entrance of the Northwest Regional Library. This special ceremony is open to the public.

The 5th annual Veterans Day Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and will be routed along Bullard Avenue between Paradise Lane and Tierra Buena Lane. It will feature community entries honoring the men and women in uniform who have selflessly served our country. 

Parking will be available for attendees at the Surprise Recreation Campus, located at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. View event map.

Please note, in preparation for the parade Paradise Lane between Bullard Avenue and Buck O’Neil Way will be closed at 9:30 a.m., and Bullard Avenue between Paradise Lane and Tierra Buena Lane will be closed at 9:30 a.m.
