Surprise serving up a series of USTA competitive events

Tennis season has officially arrived, and the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex is welcoming several United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Championships this fall. 

  • October 4-6: USTA 18 and over 3.5 Men and Women
  • October 11-13: USTA 40 and over 4.0 Men and Women 
  • October 18-20: USTA 18 and over 4.5 Men and Women
  • October 25-27: USTA 55 and over 7.0 Men and Women
  • November 1-3: USTA 55 and over 8.0 Men and Women
  • November 8-10: USTA 55 and over 6.0 and 9.0 Men and Women

The action takes place at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex located at 14469 W. Paradise Ln. 

Admission is free for all fans. For a list of tennis events and match schedules, please visit USTA National Championships.

USTA League is the country’s largest adult competitive tennis league with more than 320,000 tennis players taking part each year. Top teams from local league play earn the chance to compete in district and/or sectional championships, with the winners of sectionals advancing to USTA League National Championships.

The Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex opened in 2007 and was awarded the 2008 USTA Outstanding Facility. Professional tournaments, such as the CTCA Champions Series, 2009 Fed Cup Quarterfinal, USTA Pro Circuit and the Pac West National Championships have been held in Surprise. Featuring up and coming tennis players from around the world and university level tournaments from around the country, Surprise is serving aces as a tennis hot spot.
