Surprise City Center Master Plan feedback sessions this week; new meeting added

city center development

Get details on the draft Surprise City Center Master Plan and provide your feedback at an upcoming community meeting! There are two meetings planned for this week and a third meeting has just been added at the end of the month.

The draft plan was produced by Surprise Center Development Company (SCDC), which owns the land at city center, following a series of outreach sessions. The sessions allowed residents, businesses, staff and students to share their ideas for future development of the city’s downtown core, and was presented to City Council at their June 18 work session.

Now, SCDC representatives will be attending several community meetings to present and discuss that plan, which includes concepts for possible land use, open space, landscape, water features, design elements, theming, walkability and streets.

The first meeting will be hosted by Mayor Skip Hall and District 5 Councilmember David Sanders, and will be held:

Thursday, August 8, 6 p.m.

Surprise City Hall – City Council Chambers

16000 N Civic Center Plaza, Surprise

The second and third presentations will be held as part of the District 1 and District 4 Community Meetings, and all Surprise residents are invited to attend. The meetings will be held:
