Judge Gaudreau Appointed to AZ Supreme Court Committee


Surprise City Court Associate Judge Catherine A. Gaudreau was recently appointed by the Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court to serve a three-year term as a Limited Jurisdiction Judge member of the Committee on the Impact of Domestic Violence and the Courts (CIDVC). 

CIDVC assists the Arizona Judicial Council with development and implementation of policies on domestic violence and the courts. Surprise Police Chief Terry Young also serves on this committee as a Law Enforcement Member. 

Gaudreau has served as an Associate Judge for the Surprise City Court since December 2016. She previously held the role of Assistant Prosecutor II with the City of Scottsdale since 2006 and was an Assistant District Attorney with the Milwaukee Country District Attorney’s Office from 1991 to 2002. She also has past experience as a Litigation Associate with private law firms in California and Florida. 

Gaudreau holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science from Florida International University.
