An additional Utility Assistance Application Event has been added for the month of June to assist families in Surprise and El Mirage who need help with gas and electric utility payments.
The intake event will take place on Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the El Mirage Senior Center, 14010 N. El Mirage Rd.
Southwest Gas and Arizona Public Service (APS) customers who qualify and need assistance are encouraged to attend this event.
Households that have received utility assistance from the Community Assistance Program office in the past 12 months are not eligible to apply at this time. View the eligibility and required appointment documents online; a Spanish version is also available.
The Surprise Resource Center, in partnership with many non-profit organizations, also has food boxes, employment services, benefit assistance programs, WIC, domestic violence services, veteran employment services, senior support services, and free tax preparation.
