Registration for summer adult tennis programs now open

The Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex (STRC) is now registering for summer tennis programs.   

NEW Tuesday Morning Class - Adult QuickStart

Adult QuickStart Tennis will focus on basic stroke development, introducing the forehand, backhand, volley and serves.  This four-week session is designed for beginner and advanced beginner players. Sessions run monthly on Tuesdays, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Surprise Tennis University Summer Session - June 4-August 13

Learn the game of tennis in this complete program for adult beginner players! The 11-week program includes six weeks of instruction, four weeks of supervised match play and pre-match drills/coaching and one week of a non-elimination tournament. The Surprise Tennis University (STU) program includes: complimentary practice court time, ball machine use and loaner racquets.  Become a complete player in only 11 weeks!  This program is for beginners only (participants may not have taken any prior tennis classes at STRC to be eligible for STU).  Classes are held on Tuesdays, 7:30 – 9 p.m.

Surprise Tennis University 2.0 - Wednesday Evenings

Surprise Tennis University 2.0 is the next step in the learning progression for players who have completed Adult QuickStart or Surprise Tennis University and still need more refining of their skills before joining the Adult Intermediate Class.  The class will focus on continued skill development and improving match play strategy and tactics. This monthly program meets Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9 p.m.

Adult QuickStart, Surprise Tennis University and Surprise Tennis University 2.0 include Saturday Masters Tennis Clinics, complimentary racquet rental and walk-on court time for practice.
