2019 Surprise Retail Survey results are in!


The City of Surprise launched its annual Surprise Retail Survey in March… and more than 3,000 responses later, we have the results! Plus, for the first time ever, we polled city youth in a separate survey. More than 1,000 of our 6th – 12th graders offered their opinions on places to shop, eat and play! 

The city uses the survey data to help identify the city’s retail strengths, as well as opportunities to bring additional amenities closer to home. In the past, the survey has helped to bring in places like In-N-Out Burger, Oregano’s Pizza Bistro and Texas Roadhouse.

And while their most-desired restaurants were a little different than the adults, their #1 most-requested retailer was… Costco! Other retail requests included Tilly’s, Vans, Forever 21, Game Stop, Dick’s Sporting Goods, H&M, Nike, Hot Topic and Hobby Lobby.
