Babe Ruth League registration now open

The City of Surprise is now registering for the West Valley Babe Ruth Baseball League, which begins in late April. Both individual and team registration is available.

Resident and non-resident registration is open February 11 - March 22 at the Community and Recreation Services office, located at 15960 N. Bullard Ave. Registration is also available online at surpriseaz.gov/recreation

 Babe Ruth Baseball offers the following divisions for individual and team registrations:

  • 13-15 year old (Individual Registration)
  •  13U (Team Registration)
  •  14U ( Team Registration)
  •  15U (Team Registration)

 League age is determined on or before May 1, 2019.  All divisions will play at 60 ft. pitching distance and 90 ft. base paths. Games will be played at the Surprise Recreation Campus on the Kansas City Royals practice fields.  

Bat Rule: All non-wood bats must have the USA Baseball marking or marked BBCOR .50.  Barrel maximum is 2 5/8.       

 The City of Surprise is looking for volunteer coaches for the 13-15 Babe Ruth Division.  If you are interested, stop by the Community and Recreation Services Office to fill out a volunteer application.
