Draft of Planning & Engineering Design Standards online as part of DevelopNext; revised timeline

The city’s DevelopNEXT effort to simplify and modernize its development and design standards has reached the first phase of public and stakeholder feedback.

The draft Planning and Engineering Design Standards (PEDS) Manual is now available online for review and comment.

The purpose of the PEDS Manual is to communicate to developers, architects, engineers, and other design professionals, the City’s design standards and development expectations for the many and varied land uses in the City of Surprise.

Later this month, the first three chapters of the city’s Land Development Ordinances will also be available for review and comment. This timeline is modified from what was originally published.
