Surprise Transit Study poll asks residents to weigh in on potential public transit funding options

The city has released a new Transit Feasibility Study poll so residents can provide input on potential funding options for public transit in Surprise.

The online poll is available today through 5 p.m. September 28.

Launched in spring 2018, the Transit Feasibility Study sought to understand how transit can best serve Surprise residents and visitors, including what type of services will be needed and where transit will be most successful.

Preliminary study results show that residents would be most interested in an east-west route on Bell Road that would connect Surprise to the regional transportation system.

When complete later this year, the study will provide recommendations and options that can be used to develop transit strategies that support short and long-term transportation needs in Surprise.
