The Surprise Resource Center is pleased to announce that Roberta Ezratty, a partner in its team of social, human and workforce development organizations and agencies, is a finalist for a Phoenix Business Journal Health Care Heroes award in the “Health Care Volunteer” category.
The Health Care Heroes program honors a range of health care workers and volunteers for their efforts in the community.
Roberta, a retired social worker and psychotherapist, is a certified State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) volunteer from the Area Agency on Aging. She brings dedication, patience and compassion to the city of Surprise and the surrounding area through her work at the Surprise Resource Center.
Roberta provides free education and counseling services to help people navigate the Medicare system, enabling them to make wise choices, save money and custom fit their health plan needs. She assists in the application process for Medicaid (AHCCCS) and Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS), and with resource and referral services and financial grants from Stepping Up for Seniors.
