Public input opens for D2 applicants; Council votes February 6

The public input period for the applicants seeking the District 2 Council appointment is open through Tuesday, January 30 at 5 p.m.

The District 2 seat was vacated following the death of Councilmember Jim Hayden.

Public comments can be received by:

  • E-mail (clerk@surpriseaz.gov)
  • Hand-delivered written responses to the City Clerk
  • By mail (ATTN: City Clerk, Surprise City Hall, 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ 85374)   

The following applicants (read complete applications) were interviewed in the order in which applications were received by the City Clerk:

Nancy Hayden 

Alyson Cline 

Robert Estep 

Susan deJong 

Wendell V. Fountain 

Glenn L. Stark

Note: Brian Eichelberger had applied, but withdrew his application before the interviews. 

The City Council is scheduled to vote on the appointment at their Regular Meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, at City Hall.
