PacWest Tennis Championships return to Surprise; free youth tennis clinic April 17
Surprise, AZ (April 11, 2019) For the sixth straight year, the NCAA PacWest Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships will be hosted at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex, 14469 W. Paradise Ln, April 17-20.
The 20 teams headed to Surprise have been selected. The men's championship-hopefuls consist of eight teams that will begin quarterfinals on Thursday, April 18; the 12 women’s teams vying for a championship win will begin competition on Wednesday, April 17.
The seeding of the tournament will not be determined until next week. The top four seeds will receive byes.

Free Youth Tennis Play Day Clinic, April 17
The PacWest will host a community tennis event on Wednesday, April 17, from 5-6 p.m. at the Tennis and Racquet Complex, where youths ages 12 and under will have an opportunity to play alongside PacWest athletes. Participants will engage in fun drills, play mini games, experience 10 and Under Tennis, or take on some of the best players in the PacWest in doubles. This event is free; registration is not required.
The City of Surprise Sports & Tourism department is responsible for managing Major League Baseball Spring Training at Surprise Stadium, shared-use facility partnerships with Ottawa University, major tennis tournaments, and tourism driven events, festivals, and sports tournaments.
