Police seek public assistance to identify suspects
Surprise, AZ (April 27, 2016) On Wednesday, January 13, 2016, the Surprise Police responded to a business in the area of 13700 West Bell Road regarding a fraudulent return of merchandise.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a store representative who stated suspects had fraudulently returned several items of property to the store. The suspects had purchased a rug at a store in Tucson, cut the rug in several pieces, and used a copy of the original receipt to return the smaller pieces as though they were the original item. The suspects received approximately $900.00 from the fraudulent returns.
The first suspect was described as a white female, with short blonde hair, long-sleeved grey shirt, dark colored pants and black shoes. The other suspect was described as a white male, with short brown hair, wearing a black jacket, grey shirt, blue jean pants, and black shoes.
After exiting the store, the suspects drove away in a white pickup truck with a black bed cover, unknown license plate.
