Police seek assistance in locating missing person
Surprise, AZ (July 27, 2015) The Surprise Police are currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, David Flippen. On Monday, July 27, 2015, at approximately 1:48 am, Surprise Police received a report from family members about a possible missing person, David Flippen. Family members added Mr. Flippen, a 23 year old white male, was last seen at a convenient store in the area of Bell Road and El Mirage Road, in Surprise on July 24, 2015. 

Prior to family contacting the police, Mr. Flippen had previously been contacted by the Surprise Police Department. Mr. Flippen was contacted by patrol officers in a Surprise neighborhood in the early morning of July 26, 2015. Due to his behavior and statements made to the Surprise Fire Department, Mr. Flippen was subsequently transported to the Del Webb Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. 

When the officer taking the missing person report contacted the hospital, it was learned that Mr. Flippen had already been discharged from the hospital. According to family members, Mr. Flippen has failed to return home at this time. Mr. Flippen is described as approximately 5’4” tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds. Mr. Flippen has long brown hair, brown eyes, and a brown beard. Additionally, Mr. Flippen was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Surprise Police are actively searching for Mr. Flippen and ask for your assistance in locating and returning him home safely. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surprise Police Department at 623-222-4000 or email
