Cattle corraled by local resident returned to rancher

Surprise, AZ (April 27, 2015) On Sunday, April 26, 2015, at approximately 9 am, the Surprise Police Department Animal Control Unit responded to a livestock call in the area of 185th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak, in Surprise. A herd of cattle had wandered off from a property owned by a local rancher and ended up corraled in a neighbors’ fenced residential yard.

The Surprise Police Animal Control Unit assisted by contacting the owner of the livestock. The Animal Control Officer stood by until the owner arrived and retrieved the cattle from the local residence.

None of the livestock were injured during their escape and ultimate return back to the cattle ranch.
