Police Conduct Commercial Vehicle InspectionsSURPRISE, AZ (December 12, 2007) The Surprise Police Department, with the assistance of the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department Commercial Vehicle Division, set up an inspection/weigh station at State Route 303 and Bell Road, on December 10.

Some of the dangerous violations that were recorded were, no brakes, severely worn or damaged tires, leaking air lines and major diesel fuel leaks.
“The detail was extremely successful in keeping the roadways safe for the citizens of Surprise during this holiday season” said Sergeant Mike Ferrara, Supervisor of the Surprise Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit.
