Get Involved with Redrawing of Arizona’s Congressional and Legislative Lines; Public Hearings Scheduled
Surprise, AZ (September 16, 2021) The initial maps for Arizona’s redistricting process were approved on September 14, 2021 by the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC), and the public is being asked to weigh in on them.
The approved grid maps are of equal populations for the congressional and legislative districts as required by the state constitution. The link for the adopted grid maps is: https://redistricting-irc-az.hub.arcgis.com/.
Arizonans are encouraged to become involved by utilizing the online mapping system and/or by attending the public hearing sessions.
The Arizona IRC will hold its next set of public hearings from September 21 to October 7, 2021 in locations throughout Arizona.

Individuals attending the in-person sessions will have the opportunity to speak and give public comments on the grid maps. They can also complete their mapping comments online at https://irc.az.gov/ before the public meetings.
There will be an opportunity to observe each meeting via live stream. That information will be listed on the Arizona IRC website.
