Surprise hosting virtual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration & Service Jan. 16
Surprise, AZ (January 14, 2021) The city of Surprise is excited to host the Fifth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration and Service virtually on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
The program will premiere at 9 a.m. on the city of Surprise Facebook and Surprise TV cable channel and website. The program will include multiple performances, as well as an interview with former U.S. Ambassador Andrew J. Young, who was a key strategist during civil rights campaigns that led to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Our emcee is Susan Casper, host of Sonoran Living on ABC15, and founding member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Phoenix Metropolitan Chapter.
This Virtual Event will be held:
