Surprise announces 2020 HOA Connection Workshops
Surprise, AZ (March 11, 2020) The city is offering two HOA Connection Workshops that are designed to strengthen our HOA communities.
Residents and HOA board members are invited to attend the following upcoming workshops:
Federal Laws for Community Associations and the Fair Housing Act
Monday, April 6
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Join Beth Mulcahy, of Mulcahy Law Firm, P.C., as she leads a discussion on:
• Emerging trends and preventative measures related to fair housing
• Reasonable modification and reasonable accommodation
• The importance of reviewing governing documents for possible amendments to ensure the association is in compliance with state and federal laws
Technology and Community Associations
Tuesday, May 19
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Join Beth Mulcahy and Neighborhoody.com for a workshop on how technology has made information, communication and accessibility easier for association membership and the board of directors. Topics include:
• Online voting
• Association websites
• Online payments
• Virtual meetings
The classes will be held in the Surprise City Hall Community Room, located at 16000 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ 85374.
