General Park Rules & Regulations

Please enjoy yourself by following park rules and regulations.
Please follow CDC guidelines specifically regarding social distancing.

  • Hours: 6 a.m. - dusk OR 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. (depending on park lighting) (§12.08.030)
  • No overnight parking (§12.08.070)
  • Glass containers prohibited (§12.08.090)
  • Dogs and cats must be on a leash 6 feet or shorter. Other pets are prohibited (§12.08.060)
  • Please clean up after your pet (§6.04.170)
  • Motorized vehicles in designated parking areas, exception for motorized wheelchairs. (§12.08.040)
  • Wheeled recreational vehicles are allowed only on walkways and paths. Do not ride on other surfaces and equipment. (§12.08.070)
  • Golfing, archery, remote control aircraft prohibited. (§12.08.020)
  • Defacing, vandalizing or removal of park equipment prohibited. (§12.08.060)

Permits Required for:

  • Public gatherings of more than 20 persons (§12.08.120)
  • Alcohol consumption (beer only) (§12.08.050)
  • Portable entertainment (§12.08.120)
  • Commercial sales (§12.08.120)
  • Permits may be required for additional activities. (§12.08.120)

Report all vandalism, broken equipment, damaged surfaces, unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns to the City of Surprise Parks Division at 623-222-2000.
