Beginning on November 1 The City of Surprise will process billing for city water and/or wastewater and solid waste services for customers who are currently billed by American Water. We’re looking forward to serving you!

**If you’re currently set up for automatic payments or have set up online banking, you will need to update your account with the new account number when you receive your first Surprise utility statement in November.**

Welcome to Customer Service and Utility Billing. The City of Surprise strives to deliver a number of essential services to Surprise citizens. Our goal is to provide exceptional, cost effective sanitation, water, wastewater, and storm water services to Surprise residents. The municipality provides weekly collection of garbage and recyclables, and bulk trash on an as needed basis. Depending on your location in the city, you may have a different provider for one or more these services. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your utility service, please contact your service provider.

A prepayment program option allows residential-only customers to pay in advance for their wastewater and sanitation services. By participating in this option, customers receive a 5% discount on the services when paying the prepay charges in a timely manner.
