Changes to American Water billing:

The City of Surprise has heard from many customers regarding billing-payment changes through our water, wastewater and sanitations services billing provider American Water Enterprises. Challenges have occurred with the company's billing software conversion for those enrolled in auto-pay.

We want to ensure our customers that there will be no shutoffs of any water, wastewater, or sanitation services as a result of the complications associated with the software transfer.

We will not charge any fees as a result of this as well of late fees or otherwise. We are definitely appreciative of the input we have received from our residents as they encounter a variety of different problems and we request patience as we work through this with our vendor.

For specific questions, please contact American Water at 1-888-300-3569, Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. or by visiting http://www.aw-connect.com

Should you experience long wait times or do not have a resolution to your issues, please contact the Surprise Finance Department at 623-222-1800, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
