New Utility Rates – Effective 1/1/2010 

A public hearing on the proposed rate adjustments took place before the Surprise City Council at its regular meeting November 13, 2008 - click here to watch the meeting. The new utility rate schedule was then adopted that calls for fee increases in water, wastewater (sewer) and sanitation, effective January 1, 2009 and again January 1, 2010 for customers served by the City.

A prepayment program option allows residential-only customers to pay in advance for their wastewater and sanitation services. By participating in this option, customers receive a 5% discount on the services when paying the prepay charges in a timely manner.
