Location, Fees and Hours of Operation 
The Surprise Senior Center is located at 15832 N. Hollyhock St. in the heart of the Original Townsite and east of Gaines Park.  The Senior Center is the hub of activities for citizens age 50 or disabled adults.  Membership in the Center for a resident of Surprise is $12.00 per year and for non-residents it’s $15.00. The Operating Hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Hot Lunch Program
A hot lunch program offers seniors a balanced nutritious meal at 12 noon. A contribution of $3.50 is suggested and reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling 623.222.1500.

Activities and trips are designed with seniors in mind.  Most classes require pre-registration and many classes/programs require a very nominal fee.

SURPRISE SUPER SWAP MEET
The Surprise Super Outdoor Fall Swap Meet will be held at the Aquatics Center Parking Lot at 15831 N. Bullard Ave near the Surprise Stadium on Saturday,  Nov 17  from 8 am - 1 pm – sponsored  by the Surprise Senior Center Site Council.  

Over 70 vendors will display their new and used wares.  Parking and admission are free. The public is invited to come and browse for bargains. There’s something for everyone. The Senior Center will also have a drop box at the Swap Meet for recycling old cell phones. 



Computer Lab and Training Classes
Our computer lab is fully equipped with 6 computers and internet access.  We offer open lab time and 6 computer training classes each month.  Class fee is $10 for residents/$12 for non  residents.  Each class is 2 hours.  See monthly calendar for dates.  Register at Senior Center.  Class size is limited.

Fitness Center

A state of the art fitness center is open to seniors from 8:15-4:00 weekdays.  Gym membership for residents is $30.00 and for non-residents it’s $35.00  (6 month winter membership in gym Sept – March is $20.00 & $25.00). Our fitness advisor can help you individualize your workout.


Used Cell Phone, Game System, MP3, Camera & Laptop Drop Off at Senior Center


In addition to cell phones people can now drop off old video game systems (Play Station, X-box, Nintendo); iPods, MP3 players, laptops and digital cameras to help support Senior Center programs. **Larger items, such as computer towers and monitors will NOT be accepted. Click here for other drop off locations.
