Registration open for Surprise Fall Youth Soccer and Flag Football leagues

Surprise, AZ (July 16, 2012) The Surprise Community and Recreation Services Department is currently registering for their Fall Youth Soccer and Flag Football leagues,  which begin in late August. 

A Special Saturday Registration Event is set for Saturday, July 21, 8 a.m. – 11  .a.m. at the Community and Recreation Services Office, 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. Registration is also available online at www.surpriseaz.gov/recreation.

The Fall Youth Soccer League is for ages 4 - 13 years and teaches the game of soccer in the spirit of sportsmanship, fun and wholesome competition.  An emphasis is placed on the development of skills and the value of teamwork. T-shirts, socks, shin guards and individual awards will be provided.

Fall Youth Flag Football League teaches participants, 5-13 years old, the fundamentals of football in an atmosphere where participation, development, and fun are top priority.  Players will be provided a NFL replica jersey. 

The City of Surprise is looking for Youth Soccer and Flag Football coaches. If you are interested, please fill out a volunteer application and get fingerprinted at the Community and Recreation Services Office.
