Share your thoughts on the future of Surprise- new General Plan Survey now online
Surprise, AZ (July 3, 2012) A few minutes of your time can help shape the future of the City for generations to come. The public is invited to take the General Plan Survey now online at www.surpriseaz.gov/gpsurvey.
The City of Surprise General Plan 2030 sets the city’s vision for the next 20 years – setting strategies and policies that will affect generations to come. It expresses community values and goals, and portrays the community's vision for the future.
The short survey takes only a few minutes to complete and asks participants to share their thoughts on a variety of topics, including multiple-choice options for the following categories:
What kind of growth do you want to see?
What are important city characteristics?
Desired alternatives to improve transportation?
What should Economic Development focus be?
Over the next 20 years, what should the “Focus of Surprise Be?”
The survey also provides participants the opportunity to write in their own comments along the way.
All information will be shared with the General Plan Advisory Committee as they study the General Plan 2030 before making any recommendations to the City Council. A public vote would then follow at a later date.
