SNAP award nomination deadline extended
Surprise, AZ (May 22, 2012) There is still time to nominate an outstanding neighborhood leader; youth leader and more for the city’s annual Surprise Neighborhood Award Program (SNAP).
The Surprise Quality of Life Commission has extended the application deadline until June 30!
SNAP recognizes neighborhoods, community leaders/ partners and young community activists who “SNAP” into action and make significant contributions to improve the city’s neighborhoods.
SNAP Awards are presented annually to winners in five categories: Outstanding Neighborhood Leader; Outstanding Neighborhood Partner; Outstanding Neighborhood; Outstanding Young Leader; and Faith Based Partner.
Nomination forms are available online at www.surpriseaz.gov/SNAP.
All nominations are due to Neighborhood Services no later than June 30. Complete nomination details are available on the form.
The Surprise Quality of Life Commission will select award recipients based on relevancy of effort, impact and longevity of contribution. The Surprise City Council will announce the category winners at a future council meeting.
