Bullard Avenue expansion underway
SURPRISE, AZ (December 11, 2009) Bullard Avenue, from Bell Road to Paradise Lane, will be expanded to two lanes in each direction to match the existing wider roadway, south of Paradise.
Beginning this week traffic restrictions will be in place, as contractors widen that stretch of Bullard to the east. Other improvements include curb and gutter details, a raised landscaped median, ITS conduit and traffic signal modifications.
Parking on the west side of Bullard will be suspended; however access to the Holiday Inn Express will be maintained throughout the project.
The work is scheduled for completion in May, although no work will be performed during Spring Training, March 4 – April 1.
The installation of a new marquee sign in the median at Bullard and Bell, will also be performed during this project.
The Bullard Avenue improvements were approved in a previous council-approved budget.
