Growing an innovation in Surprise- now just a click away

Surprise AZ (October 22, 2009) The City of Surprise has added an online application on the AZ TechCelerator Web site www.aztechcelerator.com for companies interested in the new business incubator. 

Day or night, start-ups can go online and apply for space within the AZ TechCelerator, which offers affordable rent, mentoring, and access to capital sources.

"We're a 24-hour society, and more tech companies prefer to be paperless and do transactions online," says Economic Development and AZ TechCelerator Manager Jeanine Jerkovic. "This is just another way to give entrepreneurs the accessibility they need to the program on the 'yesterday' timeframe they require."

The City of Surprise is also offering AZ TechCelerator space rent-free through June 30, 2010 if applications are received by December 31, 2009. After June 30, 2010, rents start at $2 per square foot and accelerate over time until a company is able to graduate into commercial space.

If you believe your business would benefit from the AZ TechCelerator and you have a business plan developed, fill out the online application and give the Surprise Economic Development Department a call at 623.222.3300. Please note that the AZ TechCelerator accepts companies that offer a technology innovation and a solid plan to grow in terms of jobs, profitability and community enhancement. Applications will be evaluated by a combination of senior City of Surprise staff and technically-oriented AZ TechCelerator volunteers on a rolling basis.
